We go at the student's own pace, and are in authentic communication with the student at all time. We use input, materials and data supplied by the student for work in a more intensive way. We also handle lessons with great spontaneity and responsiveness to the individual personality, level and “style” of the student. Roles of our tutors: Controller, Organizer, Assessor, Prompter, Encourager, Participant, Resource, Observer, Performer.
Our teaching procedure:
First, we find out student's needs: The student provides the content of the one-to-one tutoring sessions.
Second, we analyze the student's needs, then, we prepare in advance: collect information on the student's needs.
Finally, we facilitate student input through authentic practice; we use a variety of techniques that focus on the functions the student needs competence in, and use variety of resources, especially authentic resources.
A formal lesson plan:
Warm-up
Presentation (short and sharp, check student understanding: concept questions, have student repeat and drill)
Practice:
Controlled practice - emphasis on accuracy and tutor correction; activities: Drills Q & A
Less Controlled practice - more student creativity and independence, more student input, encourage self/per correction, tutor correction
Production
Freer practice - fluency situation where student use whole store of knowledge including newly presented material; student given the opportunity to deal with the unpredictable (independence and self-expression), tutor as facilitator, advisor, monitor, guide; activities: problem solving, discussions, simulations, information gaps, projects.

Payments are due at the beginning of each month. There will be no refund for missed lessons by the students. If a lesson is missed by the teacher, the lesson will be made up. To register for lessons, please send an e-mail to nickbeqo@hotmail.com
